Helping a leading biopharmaceutical company align its Leadership Team to the brand promise
One of the most distinguished biopharmaceutical companies in Greece wanted to fortify its Leadership Team with new colleagues, with the aim to restart and refresh its leadership impact. It therefore invited Senior Directors to join the organization, occupying key functions in the company.
The great opportunity of welcoming new blood in the organization, did not come without great challenges as well. The new members of the Leadership Team needed to get fully operational and well aligned with their colleagues, understand and embrace the brand values and promise of the company and successfully contribute to the shared vision of the organization.
Four years prior to their Leadership Transformation, the company had successfully worked with SARGIA Partners in defining their shared vision, through SARGIA Partners proprietary Leadership Team Alignment Program.
Trusting the effectiveness of the previous collaboration and having a strong culture and a solid vision statement to guide them to the future, they decided to embark on a new journey aiming to draft an inspiring brand narrative that would unite the old and the new colleagues under a common value set and mandate. They needed an inspiring brand manifesto that would enhance commitment, boost team spirit and collaboration, ignite creativity and empower them to make the shift from complacency to positive, inquisitive and critical thinking and from fixed solutions to empowered decisions.
SARGIA Partners’ Leadership Brand Alignment program unfolded on stages with a total duration of 6 Months. It was initiated by Individual and Team Assessments, with the aim to map and analyze the current individual and team collaboration dynamics. Each Leadership Team member had the opportunity to further discuss his assessment with an experience Leadership Coach, during a series of one-to-one Awareness Sessions. This process enabled the Leadership Team members to get better aware of their individual and collective strengths and shortfalls.
Upon completion of the awareness sessions, a 2day Workshop was conducted, aiming to inspire and empower the members of the Leadership Team to visualize and embrace a shared meaning and understanding of their leadership brand and create an influential brand narrative that would boost their engagement and team mastery towards their future vision.
During the course of the Leadership Brand Alignment workshop, the team members had the opportunity to realize and discuss their strengths and weaknesses, offer and receive productive feedback and improve their personal and interpersonal communication effectiveness. At the end of the program, the team was able to define a new strong Leadership Brand, co-create an inspirational brand narrative and agree upon the strategies for manifesting it. The team identity was strengthened by 80%, while a positive shift of 60% was noticed in empathetic communication and emotional awareness.
Now the company was ready to look ahead to the future with a strong vision, a solid brand mandate and a fully aligned Leadership Team.
